The "Trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain has failed" is one of the most frustrating error messages for the IT technician. But not with eProc, with eProc you can fix this problem in less than a minute.
Why does this error message appear? When you connect a workstation to an Active Directory domain, a computer account is created in AD. This computer account has a password that is valid for 30 days before it is updated.
Each time a computer 'logs on' to Active Directory, it checks the password of its computer account with the nearest domain controller:
If they are in sync, the computer successfully authenticates to AD.
If the device has no network connection to AD, a grace period of up to 30 days is granted.
There are some common scenarios where this error can occur, here are some examples:
When you reinstall Windows.
When you reset Windows.
When you restore the state of a virtual machine.
When you replace major hardware components in a device, etc.
When you clone a device without using Sysprep first.
To solve this problem in a minute with eProc.
