Up time control

Up time control

Allows to create workflow policy to make sure a user will rebore his machine if not rebooted for a long time.

To configure this policy, go to Virtual technician > advanced policies > and click the uptime control under computer.

• In the Up Time Control Properties fill in the description.
• Click on Add To open the Up Time Control Step window.

• In the Up Time Control Step window, you can configure the option of the policy workflow.
• We will configure  the workflow for two messages and then force a reboot.

First massage

• Set number of days to check how much time the machine didn’t reboot.
• Change the Action to Show Message.
• When the message appears, here we chose to display the massage 90 minute after logging on.
• In the Popup massage properties window, you can change what will show in the massage, the size and color in addition to more options.
• To open the Popup massage properties, click on the Properties button.

Second massage

• Set number of days to check how much time the machine didn’t reboot.
• Change the Action to Show Message.
• When the message appears, here we chose to display the massage during the sign in of the user.
• In the Popup massage properties window, you can change what will show in the massage, the size and color in addition to more options.
• To open the Popup massage properties, click on the Properties button.

Force reboot

• Set number of days to check how much time the machine didn’t reboot.
• Change the Action to Reboot System.
• When the message appears, here we chose to display the massage during the sign in of the user.
• In the Popup massage properties window, you can change what will show in the massage, the size and color in addition to more options.
• To open the Popup massage properties, click on the Properties button.
• Change the Reboot in… to how many minutes you want.
• Change the Force button to ON.

When you finish click Commit Changes
